Translating third-party cyber risks for campus administrators

Managing cybersecurity risk is always a concern when hiring third-party vendors, but non-technical campus leaders are getting more involved in the conversation. Brian Kelly, who directs the cybersecurity program at Educause, joins the Cutting EDge to talk about the delicate process of screening third-party vendors and how Educause is updating tools, like its Higher Education Community Vendor Assessment Toolkit, to keep up with university priorities.

Hernán Londoño, a former university chief technology officer, explains to Scoop News Group’s Wyatt Kash why colleges need to move more aggressively to modernize IT systems. Londoño is a senior strategist for higher education at Dell Technologies.
