State edtech association announces new private sector partners

The State Educational Technology Directors Association revealed 10 Emerging Private Sector Partners that will engage with state leaders this year.

The State Educational Technology Directors Association on Thursday announced its new private sector partners, a mix of edtech startups that are breaking ground on innovative tools that can be used in the classroom.

The association representing U.S. state and local digital learning leaders will formally reveal the Emerging Private Sector Partners on June 25 at the annual ISTE conference in Denver.

The new cohort was whittled down from a competitive pool of applicants based on their qualifications and status as an up-and-comer in the developer arena; their ability to serve students and teachers through technology; and the potential to scale up their work.

The partner organizations, which will engage with SETDA state leaders for the next year, are:

  • GPA Learn
  • ITG America, LLC
  • Lea(R)n, Inc.
  • Operant Systems, Inc.
  • ThinkCERCA, Inc.

“When state educational technology leaders are able to partner with emerging companies, both win,” said Tracy Weeks, SETDA’s executive director.

“The state leaders learn about cutting-edge digital learning products and services. The emerging private sector partners get a deeper understanding of state level policies, procedures and initiatives,” she said.
